Erklärung der Imagenamen (Welches brauche ich?)

Generell werden die Varianten adsc, jubtl und gw unterschieden:

jubtl:	Nur für Projekt-Teilnehmer der JU Bayreuth-Land. Diese Variante ermöglicht Zugang auf den Router ohne Kenntnis des Passwortes!
adsc:	Normale Variante für alle anderen Routeraufsteller.
gw:	Spezielle Variante für den Betrieb eines dezentralen Gateways.

Weitere Unterscheidung:

Diese Variante enthält die jeweils aktuelle stabile Firmware der jeweiligen Variante.

Dies entspricht den früheren Varianten adsc2/jubtl2/adsc9/jubtl9.

Zur Zeit basiert diese Variante auf dem openwrt-19.07 branch.

Die Firmware wird als Fork weiterentwickelt, der auf dem offiziellen Stand vom 04.03.2018 basiert. Das Repository wird kontinuierlich fortgeführt, sodass Forks oder Clones möglich sind. Commits aus dem offiziellen master werden normalerweise übernommen.

Diese Variante verwendet den aktuellen OpenWrt master.

Für die Atheros-Geräte sind nur noch Images aus dem neuen ath79 Target verfügbar.

Die Entwicklung findet als Teil des mainline/devtree Firmware-Branches statt (danach erfolgt lediglich ein Wechsel auf den OpenWRT-master). Die neuere Batman-Version erfordert zudem gewisse Anpassungen.

Datenschutzhinweise

Die hier angebotene Firmware erfordert die Eingabe bestimmter Daten, um bestimmungsgemäß zu funktionieren:

1. Die Angaben zur Position sind für die Funktion des Netzwerkes erforderlich, sodass Router einer bestimmten Netzuntereinheit (“Hood”) zugeordnet werden können.
2. Die Kontakt-Daten sind erforderlich, damit im Falle einer Funktionsstörung eine verantwortliche Person kontaktiert werden kann.
3. Ohne Angabe von Position und Kontaktadresse kann der Router nicht betrieben werden. Alle weiteren Angaben sind freiwillig.
4. Alle eingegebenen (verpflichtenden und freiwilligen) Daten sind sowohl im Netzwerk als auch öffentlich zugänglich.
   Zu Zwecken der Diagnose und zur Kontaktaufnahme im Störfall können diese von verschiedenen Instanzen im Netz sowie von Dritten gespeichert und verarbeitet werden.
5. Die Firmware-Varianten beginnend mit “jubtl” enthalten zudem einen public-Key, der Inhabern des zugehörigen private-Keys ohne Kenntnis des Passworts unbegrenzten Zugriff auf die Geräte ermöglicht.
   Diese Variante ist nur für Aufsteller im Rahmen des JU-Projektes gedacht.

Nutzung des 5 GHz-Frequenzbandes

Geräte mit Freifunk-Firmware dürfen mit aktiviertem 5 GHz NUR IN INNENRÄUMEN betrieben werden.

Ein Betrieb im Freien ist VERBOTEN.

Für entsprechende Zuwiderhandlungen ist der Routeraufsteller verantwortlich!
